The effective date of this Privacy Statement is September 1, 2016.
Use of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Certain information is required for participation in May is Bike Month programs. A contact phone number for public release is required if you choose to post a Vanpool Listing in the related Commuter Club Website so that participants without an e-mail can contact you, but you choose whether it is your work or home phone number. When your name appears on a Match List, all we display is your name, city, zip code, e-mail address, phone number (if provided) and any additional information you have chosen to provide. Home addresses are strictly confidential.
SACOG will use your email address to send you the type of information for which you provided your email address. For example, email communications you receive from the Website may pertain to carpools, vanpools, Emergency Ride Home (ERH) vouchers, Trip Diary reminders or other programs you have registered for. Periodically SACOG sends emails to the May is Bike Month registrants about free special commuter events, surveys and other information relating to traveling in the region.
Reviewing and Updating PII
Internet Protocol (IP) Information
We may use the information we collect for statistical purposes only to determine popularity of sections of the Website, as well as reviewing total number of users on a monthly basis. We also may track the keywords that are entered into our search engine service to measure interest in specific topics, but we do not track which terms a particular visitor enters.
Maintaining an active account on May is Bike Month requires that you agree to receiving occasional important emails from SACOG and your TMO Outreach Partner(s). Even as a May is Bike Month participant with an active account, you may choose to unsubscribe from the majority of emails we send. (On average we send subscribers less than 1 email per month.) The important emails sent to May is Bike Month members include travel option information, surveys about travel behavior, and information about campaigns that encourage people to drive alone less often. Emails sent to the May is Bike Month members will include information on how to unsubscribe from most of the emails sent to the email list.
If at any time you would like to unsubscribe to all emails and delete your active account with May is Bike Month, please return to www.mayisbikemonth.com and unsubscribe via your profile page. NOTE: if you delete your active account you will no longer have access to the Emergency Ride Home program or Ridematching database.Changes to Privacy Statement

If SACOG makes material changes to the Privacy Statement, SACOG will notify visitors by means of posting a conspicuous notice on the Website that material changes have been made.
